What a difference a simple email can make.
I use Spam Arrest, which manages to isolate 100′s of spam messages everyday but even so I receive dozens of messages a day that may be important (although many are just list messages trying to sell me something). At the weekend I was reading through the “wanted” emails and found one that took me totally by surprise.
Earlier this year I started a website about a hobby and added a few affiliate links. Although I fully intended to spend time developing the site I didn’t get round to it and apart from submitting to a few directories and posting maybe 6 links to it in forums I’ve done nothing. Back to the email – a notification of an affiliate payment for $36.
OK, so not a fortune but since the traffic to the site is less than 80 unique visitors per month it got me thinking.
This is a numbers game, right. Increase the traffic and the sales will increase.
So, one small, seemingly insignificant email has motivated me to do something about the site that I’d all but forgotten about.
I hear so many stories about people who read the e-book / get the course but then fail to take any action. Avoid that trap – take some action – someone will like what you are offering – it’s virtually guaranteed.
Hi Mark, that’s a good little resource, I hate span so much.
